PeopleBrowsr tones it down in new .ceo vids

Kevin Murphy, February 20, 2014, 13:33:29 (UTC), Domain Registries

PeopleBrowsr, registry for the forthcoming .ceo gTLD, has eschewed the cringe in its new promotional videos.
No more company employees dancing around in masks to white rap; rather, straightforward animation with a voice-over explaining what .ceo is.
As I was so rude about the first (horrible, horrible) .ceo vid I feel duty bound to embed the latest, relatively boring one, too.

There’s another one here, too.

Another nice thing about the new videos: apparently women can be CEOs, too.

The intro music gave hope that it would be an upbeat clip, but then it went away. I was snoring by the end.
@Andrew: Female is OK, but none of the characters, not even the anonymous hands, appeared to be other than white.

Uniregistry’s .tattoo video still has the guy with the swastika tattoos.

I think they are all starting to find out that it cost money to market.
So a 1000 guys are at bar 3 women walk in now try to land one of them. That is how hard it is going to be to market these things.
The Clock is ticking Free Domain names are coming real soon Big G does not need to advertise they already have your gmail address. LOL.

Aside from the fact that both videos are absolute shit, I can’t help but notice that neither of them mentions the social USP that Peoplebrowsr are supposed to be bringing to the table. Maybe they don’t think that the “super smart, super busy, super hungry superheroes” of the 21st Century would be interested in social, as they’re too busy “super shaking”.
